Spangenhelm
16 Gauge Steel
Mainstays of the era, Spangenhelms are characterized by their construction, whereby steel strips (spangen) are used to join the steel plates of the cap. For strength and safety, the cap of our reconstruction is virtually one-piece, comprised of two halves, welded together along a back to front centre line. Steel rivets are used to attach the overlying banding and 3mm. medium-flare nose-guard (nasal). Crafted in 16 gauge steel with full leather liner and chinstrap |

Lionheart Sword
The single-hand Lionheart Sword is typical of the cruciform-hilt style of the crusading knights of Europe in the 12th and 13th centuries. The wheel pommel and slightly turned-down bow-tie guard make this a very attractive sword indeed! The blade finish is far from being polished, again more closely replicating what the medieval swordsmith was able to achieve. Grip is leather-covered hardwood. Fittings are steel. The sword has a scabbard of leather-covered fiberglass with steel lockets and chapes and removable suspension rings.
