Sherwood Castle Accomodations

Sherwood Castle’s magnificent Great Hall is a venue for weddings, feasts and grand-scale events.

The Great Hall section of the Castle includes five bedrooms which are able to
accommodate guests throughout the calendar year. Each room is furnished with large,
heavy furniture, high-quality beds from local purveyor Austin Natural Mattress,
oriental-style rugs, tapestries and various other accoutrements
that will make the most discerning visiting nobles feel right at home.

Normandy

Normandy is the coziest of our rooms, and is paneled in knotty pine. It is located upstairs in the Great Hall. This room features a queen-sized bed, matching dresser and is individually climate-controlled. The semi-private bathroom with claw-footed tub is shared between Aquitaine and Normandy.

Aquitaine

Aquitaine is paneled in red cedar, giving it a rich, warm elegance. It is located upstairs in the Great Hall. This room features a queen-sized bed with matching dresser, and is individually climate-controlled. The semi-private bathroom with claw-footed tub is shared between Aquitaine and Normandy.

Anjou

Anjou, with its imposing furniture and high ceiling is both grand and elegant. This room is located upstairs in the Great Hall. Anjou is furnished with a queen sized bed and matching dresser, has its own private bathroom with shower, and is individually climate controlled.

Gascony

Gascony, with its gorgeous queen bed and matching dresser, would be satisfactory to even the loftiest of nobles. This room is located upstairs in the Great Hall. Gascony has its own private bathroom with shower, and is individually climate controlled.

Brittany

Brittany is the grandest of our rooms, with 15 foot ceilings and beautiful art. It is located on the ground floor of the Great Hall. The room has a queen-sized bed and matching dresser, a private bathroom with a very large walk-in shower, and is individually climate controlled. This is the only of the five rooms that is wheelchair accessible.

Access & Parking

The Great Hall is accessed via the Campground Entrance on Highway 290. The entrance address is 3106 US Hwy 290 E, Paige TX 78659. Enter the gate between the two billboards, and follow directional signs to Sherwood Castle. Guests staying in the Great Hall will be entitled to park in specially designated spaces right behind the building, making loading in and loading out very easy.

Check In and Check Out

Check In is at 4pm, and Check Out is at 12pm. We can occasionally offer Early Check In or Late Check Out, and can let you know if this is possible if you ask a few days before your visit.

Maximum Occupancy

The maximum occupancy is two adults. No further adults are permitted to occupy a reserved room. If the adults have dependent children, we can provide a cot or floor mat for the room, but bear in mind that there is not a great deal of unused floor space.

Special Events in the Great Hall

During Peak times the Great Hall is in use each day starting around 7am and sometimes going as late as midnight. Please understand that this is a very active venue and you may hear activity from outside your room during those hours.
